The brush and its box

Did very little today other than painting, until late in to the evening. But, hey - the walls and existing woodwork in the 'Music room' are finished. At last!
('Existing woodwork', as the skirting boards and finishing strips around the tops of the walls are still not yet in place...)

At the weekend MrM presented me with this Japanese calligraphy brush and its rather lovely box. Apparently, he had acquired it with the intention of using it to varnish a violin, but it's not suitable for the task. Better brush up on Japanese calligraphy then!
