Bishop Joceline of Melrose
A statue of Bishop Joceline of Melrose on the tower of St Mary's Cathedral, holding a model of what looks like Glasgow (St Mungo's) Cathedral.
He was a was a twelfth-century Cistercian monk and cleric who became the fourth Abbot of Melrose before becoming Bishop of Glasgow. He was responsible for the original Glasgow Cathedral, on the site of which the current building was erected.
