WHOOOOOSH!!

This is a road in a nearby village, it was actually closed over the weekend and we had to turn around and get home by the scenic route. As the sun was out so beautifully today I thought I would go back to see if it was still under water, as you can see they have now opened it but I'm not sure they should have. All the surrounding fields are also under water and have be colonised by lots and lots of water birds, I did take some shots of them too but thought this was a bit more dramatic.
I have been pretty busy this weekend as the photographic club that I belong to was having it's voting, which I coordinate. It is all done electronically, I send out forms and the others look at the photos on our Flickr group page and choose each persons best photos from the four projects we have had running throughout the summer. These will then go in an exhibition in a nearby village hall at the local Christmas Fayre. We now have 10 members, some of which are not very computer literate and the whole voting period has been like herding cats, which is why I have not had much time to blip and comment. I am still trying to work out the winners but I will try to catch up with the commenting soon.
