BMW Sports Car

Im not a car freak but we saw this amazing BMW sports car in the visitors car park at last nights stop over hotel. If anybody knows anything about this particular model of car and can enlighten us then please comment below.

We received a BIG farewell from Yolanda at the Maison de Charme when we checked out yesterday morning, so much so that we stopped at a service area some several hundred kilometres away from Chiavari and found that we still had the key to our apartment de charme. Oh, rats! :-o

Grandpa sent her a message on Booking.com and she quickly called his mobile phone. As he was driving I took the call. I couldn’t speak Italian so she put me onto her husband who knows a little bit of spoken English. Between the two of us we have agreed to return them by recorded delivery to Yolanda’s home address, just round the corner from the Maison de Charme in Chiavari upon our return home. Bless her, she was so good about it, nothing was a problem. She really was the best hostess one could ever wish for.

Now got another 175km until tonight’s stop over. We stayed at this one on the way out to Italy and I left my comforter in the bedroom. I’ve been cursing myself all week and praying (not literally!) that she will still have it when we arrive. That thing means so much to me! I’ve missed it and I will give it a big hug when I get it back.

Only one more sleep and we will be back in south Cambridgeshire with Boots and Charz. I have missed them both so much. It’s not quite the same without two little cats bobbing around the apartment, being sick everywhere and scratching all the furniture. The apartment felt very empty without them both.

I am awaiting confirmation of my Royal Mail P.O. Box application which will hopefully be all allocated and waiting for me upon return to my own house. I signed up to write to prisoners on death row in USA via a UK based charity who provide an intermediary and assistance. One of the things the charity does once you have been accepted is pay for you to open a P.O. Box at your local sorting office for 12 months. This gives me a degree of anonymity and they will renew the P.O. Box for as long as I am an active volunteer in the programme. I am also allowed to use the P.O Box for my own purpose, it’s one of the perks said one of the regional organisers when I spoke to them on the phone a while back. I am feeling rather excited about it. My information pack from the charity should also be waiting for me at my own house.

It has been a great holiday and road trip. Nice to see all the sights and places that you don’t get to see when travelling through one of the London airports.
