Between the Leaves
Dear Diary,
I saw a movement from the corner of my eye, a Cedar Waxwing! I have never photographed one before but there he was harvesting buds from my burning bush, he and his mate. I grabbed my camera and hoped for the best. I am afraid this is as good as it got. the lush leaves did not give me a clear view of this beauty but you can see his black mask, crest and yellow tail tip. Maybe they will come back...
So much of life is timing. How often had he been there and I just wasn't there to see him? Keeping a camera nearby is essential this time of year, well, any time of year really. Trust the corner of your eye, wonderful things lurk there.
