Fabulous sunny day today.  Starlings are out in force - I seem to hear young ones asking for food all day, and well into the evening.

I stayed up late (for me ;) ) watching a programme that I'd recorded with Chris Packham about burrowing animals (rabbits, water voles & badgers), and it was still light when I went to bed at 11.50pm. Fascinating seeing how deep these animals' burrows are - I think we must have a massive rabbit burrow at the bottom of our garden :)
