Petworth

I don't know the date of this lovely ceiling rose in the Audit Room at Petworth, but they began to be popular in large houses in the 1700's as a change from ceilings that were totally decorated.

The Audit Room is now the cafe at Petworth House, which always amuses us as we both have an audit background, though we both moved on to other things.  Can't get away from your past ....
