Optical Illusion

Leeuwarden is European cultural capital this year. This had led to many cultural initiatives. In the Fries Museum is a very interesting exhibition on M.C. Escher, who was famous for his optical illusions. Birds turning into fish, buildings with never ending stairs. As an addition several 3D floor paintings have been made throughout city center. I saw 4 or 5 of them, I love them.

In the extra the Escher announcement in the Museum. And a white sculpture that is one of 11 fountains, set in each of the Frisian cities, especially for this cultural year. This particular one is a fountain of mist. You can see the mist coming from the floor.
