The early bird

Up with the sunrise this morning. Very cold. It was Ted's first experience of ice - she couldn't work it out. Took shots of some very nice skies, but on the way back home this Grouse just sat on a mound very close to us and didn't attempt to move, despite me getting quite close for the shot. It was either too cold or not bothered even by the dogs presence.
(As an aside, there seems to be an excessive number of early morning flights From LBA.)
