Hall Square in Boroughbridge...
... probably doesn't look much different from how it looked on photos taken over a hundred years ago (apart from the vehicles) so I decided on a monochrome blip, which also brought out the tones in the sky.
The square was used as the market square as early as 1310. This small market town was very important when the old A1 went straight through it. Boroughbridge was roughly mid-way between Edinburgh and London and was a major staging post, with many thriving inns for the stage coaches to stay over night.
