Blaven

If I asked you "What's your favourite Cullin?" you might struggle, but for me it's Blaven (Bla Bheinn, Black Mountain) that sticks in the mind. It doesn't flaunt itself like one of those red jobbies next door, but somehow it's always at the edge of your vision, coyly peeking out from behind something else. Perhaps putting it slap bang centre was my mistake here - but obviously I'm going to blame the weather. Dawn was flat grey and meh, followed by heavy rain that obscured not only the far shore but also the near shore of the loch. Followed by back to meh again, only relieved by sheep attacking the tripod. After two hours we gave up and drove into Broadford for supplies. On the way back there was a nice cloud formation across the face of the mountain, but by the time we got to Torrin it had gone again. So here it is. It is what it is.
