Schools In Pursuit of the Question Mark
We're now preparing to welcome school groups - from P1-S6 - on visits to the exhibition.
As well as the exhibition itself, with about 300 scul?tures, there is also an AV room in which pupils will be able to see footage of the launch of George Wyllie's 'Paper Boat' on the Clyde, and the 'Straw Locomotive' being hung from the Finnieston Crane. Events which happened in the 80s, way before their time.
School groups also have their own Learning Port, the 'Boat School' in which the focus of the activities, whatever that might be, will be decided by each school in advance.
George Wylie has been described as the' archetype Curriculum for Excellence man'. He created art; wrote and performed music; wrote, directed and performed drama; wrote prose and poetry...
Pupils will be doing something of the same when they visit.
Photography is another area for them to explore and the exhibition, with all its quirkiness, is a great place for them to learn about that and about Blipfoto.
Actually, we realised that visitors were beginning to blip at the weekend, as soon as the exhibition opened. So, why not the pupils? Watch this space.
In the meantime, here are some great blips by visitors which we spotted...

Looking forward to seeing what photos pupils take when they visit.
(The photo in the centre of today's blip was taken by Drew Farrell, one of the photographers who attended the press preview. Seeing the exhibition through their lenses has been amazing.)
