What A Day
mI took some shots in the front garden this morning ……. clematis, self seeded orchids (the light on the tip of this bud looked almost etherial to me), pond life - and a tiny little fly amongst others.
It was then a case of setting to cutting the hedge round the front garden then taking all the cuttings to the dump.
I was really quite pleased with that because normally it takes me 2 days because my back gives out half way through.
Mind you, I was taking painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs after I went round and fitting the last radiator at Bags'. It was actually the easiest of the three despite the pigs ear that the son-in-law had made.
SWMBO and I headed off to Ocean Terminal later to look at the Landscape Photographer Of The Year exhibition.
There were about half a dozen pictures which were missing with just the labels and mounting tabs left on the walls. What bothered me about that is some of them showed evidence of having been ripped off the wall.
Luckily my friend who won a couple of categories still had both her shots there - but somebody else I have met isn't so lucky and his is missing.
As usual there was no member of staff to quiz over this.
So we went and looked out over the harbour to the lonely flats whilst waiting to use our long spoons in the ice cream sundaes. While I waited on SWMBO buying more make-up I took some shots of the shadows and shapes in the atrium roof.
After that it was nearly a 2 hour drive home due to rush hour traffic, a motor cyclist coming off his bike and a broken down bus.
How do people do that every day??????
