The Male Goldfinch

As you can see I have returned to my favorite subject,Birds!
Now that the weather has got colder,the birds have returned to the garden searching for food.This little chap struck a pose for me in a nearby Quince,which this year has very little fruit?So I doubt if I will see my normal flocks of Redwing and Fieldfairs!
May be we will see the smaller birds instead with their calmer attitudes?
Anyway down to the technicalities.Taken on my D800 withe Sigma 150-500 O/S,@ 500,but using the camera in DX mode giving me a 16mb,750mm frame! Still had to crop it though as the Finch was still quite small in the frame? But I was happy!
