Chainsaw art

Almost 4 weeks ago I took a little road trip to the town of Hope and posted a couple images of wood carvings.  This 'Chainsaw Carving Capital' has over 30 of these on street corners and in parks created primarily by two local wood carvers.  Most of the carvings feature local wildlife, such as eagles, mountain sheep, bears and cougars to name a few.  It's hard to believe that such intricate work like this beautiful park bench were all made using a chainsaw!

Today the purpose of my visit back to this quaint little town, was to finally pick up something shiny and new (to me). :)  See extra.
