Well! After my surprise encounter with a turtle yesterday at the pond-at-the-bottom-of-the-road, who should grace my presence today but this exotic creature. I don't think I've ever seen one of these in this location before. 

I should have expected surprises however, earlier in the day I had been to a screening of "The Breadwinner" with my mum and without wishing to spoil anything for anyone still to see it, the ending was somewhat unexpected given the setting of the piece. A lovely film, beautifully made.
