Swans and cygnets. Rishton canal.
It is a mild sunny Friday here in Rishton. After doing some housework and watching Watercolour Challenge and then some godtv, I wended my way along the canal tow path.
I had a chat with two dog walkers, and then the swan parents and their lovely family of six fluffy cygnets glided into view.
I felt protective towards them and concerned as there were two narrowboats and a clean up barge in that part of the canal. They were all quite safe.
As is the swan's custom, they hang out by the Canalside Café mid morning hoping for snacks from the regular customers, but it is closed on a Friday.
We were hoping to visit Fountains Abbey at the weekend, but due to a landslip that is being repaired, the road is closed between here and there.
Hoping for continued sunny weather for the weekend.
My Father in law is 87 today.
Some words from Holy Shift by Robert Holden.
"Christ's vision pictures Heaven,
for it sees a world so like
to Heaven that what God
created perfect can be
mirrored there.
The real world pictures
Heaven's innocence."
