Kendall and Fledgling

I've hosted Chickadee families in my yard for years, providing a nesting box, water and food. Several years ago a Scrub Jay took over the yard and went after the chickadees, so they haven't nested for several years. This year the Scrub Jay went elsewhere, and the Chickadees returned to raise a family in a secure nest box attached to my house. They've been busy for weeks, and this morning two fledglings took flight. This one ended up taking refuge for a while with Kendall!!
