Sky
Every day, I leave my house wondering what I will Blip. Sometimes, the subject is immediately obvious and on other days, I struggle. As I left my house this morning, it was easy. As I looked up, I was struck by the beauty of the sky. It was a brilliant blue with scattered clouds and looked like this.
I took a few shots in my driveway and then decided to try another location. As I was driving along, I saw this scene and felt compelled to shoot it. The shot was a bit difficult since I had to double-park on a busy street, but was worth it. I love the angry looking sky combined with the low hanging fog from the snow. It is curious that this sky looks so different from that at my house.
Finally, I recently posted about the benefits of RAW vs JPEG in a thread in the forum here. I am a RAW guy and was reminded why today. My G10 was mistakenly set to JPEG and so this shot was taken in this format. Post processing was much more difficult than usual since I had to work with the compressed JPEG.
