Deeds Not Words

The motto on HMS Gannet (1878) at The Historic Dockyard Chatham is ‘Deeds not words’. It was also the motto for the Suffragette movement, which celebrates 100 years this weekend of women getting the vote.

Spent the afternoon immersing myself in the Dockyard attractions celebrating the 400th anniversary and recced the event site ahead of the River Festival next Saturday which I’m proud to be commentating.

Visited No. 3 Slip my favourite space at the Dockyard and took a video for Instagram. Last time I was in the building it was a Steampunk Fair so it was a contrast to see it empty today.
