Young Winston

It's the Newport Pagnell 40's weekend so we went down for a look, particularly as there was going to be a flypast by a Lancaster Bomber on its way back to base from 'Trooping the Colour' in London. It flew over three times fairly low and I got a few shots but nothing great. I've added the best one as an extra. This Winston Churchill look-alike was giving a speech in a local church, and I've also added extras of German troops settling in, and Lola L'Amour entertaining the crowds in a marquee. A nice event but the stalls were a bit disappointing; not much of a 'retro' theme to them and the outside musical entertainment was a not particularly good Dire Straits tribute band. But at least the town made an effort and it was well attended.
