Calm before the murders

I took this blip earlier today when it was peaceful in the garden. Then the murders started. Brutus showed us that the events of yesterday have not had an effect on him. He appeared with a tiny dead bird in his mouth. Having separated him from said bird (it wasn’t moving so he had lost interest) I had hoped the calm would return. Then I found a dead body on the lawn, with mega bird alerts being heard from the bushes. Misty was climbing up the fence. We tried to get the cats to come in the house and failed. So we resorted to placing the sprinkler in a spot nearby to encourage the cats to ‘leave the birds alone....all in all it’s just another brick in the wall’ (sorry...I couldn’t resist that :-)). And the only guilt being experienced is by me due to my inability to do anything :-(
