Eroica

Again, Bert and I went on our exploration tour of the second part of the Eroica Limburg, a challenge on dirt paths and road with bad surfaces. We rated the first climb as challenging, despite the steep rise. The next hill, however, had an equally steep and muddy decline, full of trenches and unexpected boulders. Bert reminded me of the fact that the old racing bikes didn't have the same gear ratio and much smaller tyres than ours. We probably will have to walk very often when we our going to join the tour. And besides that,  we have to practice a lot on the racing bikes on the unpaved hilly roads. Yes, that's a crazy prospect.
It was fun for these two bicycle rides, but I think we'll stick to the tarmac.
