Fallen

As soon as our neighbours, P and J, first moved into their house, one of the trees in their back garden just keeled over.  Now the same thing has happened to us.  One of the plum trees, heavy with unripe fruit, just fell over during the night.  It will be a chainsaw job to cut it into small enough pieces to burn/take to the dump.  I cut hedges and laid pavers, whilst N brushed and bleached steps and terraces.  We had early evening wine, first with les voisins and then back in  our own garden.
