Chester Cathedral
So that we could see the more unusual areas of Manchester we had downloaded a route that partially followed the canals. We kept getting lost but still saw lots of amazing Victorian buildings.
We called in at HtP’s daughter’s house to say goodbye before heading off to Chester.
We’d seen a programme on it and as we had driven along way north we decided to make the most of the weekend and visit it. It’s a lovely old city with history dating back to the Romans.
The blip is taken inside the 1000 year old cathedral. It’s an amazing red colour. So different to the cathedrals in the south.
We then walked all round the walls. We are now both pooped.
The city is well worth visiting.
The extra is the much photographed clock on the walls.
