Life with Alice

The Paddling Spot

We had to go to the summer house today to mow. Well, mum had to mow. The fieldfares had flown their nest so we were in no danger or air strikes. I enjoyed time on the lawn with my ball, I found wild strawberries to snack on and snoozed on the veranda in Dolly’s chair.

We also went walkies up to my paddling spot in the stream. I just dipped my paws. I managed to walk through some shrubs that left thousands of sticky seeds in my fur.

My very favourite wild snack, bilberries, looked so promising in May. Plenty of tiny flowers. Now, however, with the long drought, they were all gone. There will be virtually no berries this season.

Missing Grandpa.
