We finally got out on the water today. BAT, my young friend Catherine, and I. And what a day ! The sea was flat calm and silvery in the sunlight. When the boat was still there was no breath of wind. And all around us, as far as we could see in all directions, were leaping frolicking dolphins.Jumping for joy it looked like.  Woven through them, lots of minke whales, their black backs slicing through the water. Gannets and gulls, petrel and shearwater. Just phenomenal. We also saw Puffins ! And sunfish, and we saw several basking shark right up close, - they're huge ! 
But we didnt see the humpbacks we had hoped to see, unfortunately. They had been seen in the morning but by afternoon had moved on.  Though that didnt detract from a great experience. I cant wait to go again.
