Istanbul

What a contrast to yesterday's photo of Istanbul!  

The side streets of Arnavutkoy, walking home this evening after spending a couple of hours with the 'usual suspects' at Dantes (bar).  Back at neighbour-friend-colleague Courtney's place we ordered sushi, drank Pimms and played 'Cards Against Humanity' till the small hours. 

This was at the end of a day that included collecting Gentle from his latest stay at the vets, only this time, I'm delighted to say, fully cured of his chronic respiratory issues.  Yesterday, the vet found and removed the BIGGEST polyps from the back of the cat's nasal passage/throat - and sent me the video on WhatsApp !!  Poor, poor kitty - no wonder he couldn't breathe without snorting and was always getting infections. Anyway, declared well enough today to come home, after collecting him I gave all the cats some celebratory chicken before going in to school for a couple of hours grading the music exams from last Thursday before heading down the hill to Dantes.
