My birthday rose

This is the hot chocolate rose. It is magnificent this year lots of buds and the blooms are lovely and they smell gorgeous. I always see the bloom as Simons birthday present to me as I put some of his ashes under this rose.
The garden is in much better shape than I thought the worst things were the brassicas absolutely covered in cabbage white caterpillars so they are now in the green bin and beans planted in their spot. I've given the garden a good water with the new hose pipe and it reaches round to the front which is great.
I had a very good journey home and I've sweated in the garden this afternoon. It's so much hotter here than either at Chris's or Northumberland. There seems to be no air even though I've every window open.
