A quintessential...

Sunday.

Mr C was working on an event. I took Ruby over the common then Sim and I popped over to Rebecca’s. We had planned to go for coffee but we ended up at this village, Elstead, not too far from Rebecca’s (it boasts 4 pubs!!!). We stopped at The Mill, where it spans across the river Wey and the garden is on both sides. Rebecca and I shared a platter of houmous, olives etc and Sim had a waffle and coffee. The ducks come right up to you, nudging to share your food. We had a little walk around the village before heading off to another village, Tilford, where cricket was being played on the village green, children were playing in the river and a horse was ‘parked’ outside the pub whilst his rider held him and had a drink. A wonderfully English Sunday.

We went back to Rebecca’s for another drink before heading home.

An extra from today.
