SCENE FROM A BLUE MOVIE

Here's a pair of Common Blue butterflies getting ready to make caterpillars together.

I had a lovely day after 10 hours of really deep, refreshing sleep - a couple of hours at the garden centre buying up more than I can comfortably fit into my garden (but I'll make it work), followed by an hour's butterfly stalking in the sunshine. Extra is a male Large Skipper I saw as well (look at his hooked antennae).

Then we treated ourselves to a meal in our favourite Indian restaurant, and wondered at the strength and cheerfulness of the waiters there who are nearly all observing Ramadan (19 hours between sunrise and sunset here).
