Shades of tan
Another long and dreamy summer day today.
In the morning I rode to our prayer breakfast and it was already gloriously sunny at 8am. I should have taken that as a warning that it was too hot to go running afterwards but didn't. Cue a hot and sweaty 7km with plenty of rest stops.
This afternoon Grace and I went to watch the local cricket (mostly for the sunshine and beer) and were soon joined by Becky. And then Phil and Gilly and Andrew and Sue. Love our little neighbourhood. I even quite like cricket. No idea of the rules and not entirely sure of Grace's explantations when answering my queries. Malesi was quick to point out that Phil was catching up with her on the tan front. Oh, to be retired.
After a short break to recover from the heat, it was round to Grace's for the most delicious curry. She's Malaysian so the curry was hot (and it was toned down for us) and soooo good. Also had my first experience of paneer cheese (I always assumed it would be a bit like cottage cheese in texture) and am now converted and wondering how quickly I can make up for 35 years of not eating it.
