Victorian pig iron foundry

This foundry was in operation 24x7x12. The workers did two twelve hour shifts, even Christmas day.
Extra is a delightful cottage of the period, inside is extremely dark. Tin bath on outside wall and the picture I did not show was the lavatory with wooden bench seat.
Extremely hot day, the volunteer staff walk about in the Victorian dresses and shawls and hats.
