Gull-ible

Woken early this morning with the news of the newest member of the family born an hour before. Welcome to George Ioane. Very fast delivery...less than an hour from waters breaking to birth. Mother sounds tired and very happy and Dad asleep on the day bed!!

Had our daily coffee sitting in the car down at the Inlet. Mother had bought some bread crusts to feed to the gulls. Balanced a small crust on the top of the left side mirror whilst I got the camera ready and then we waited, and waited and waited.

One gull spent an inordinate amount of time working out the best way to be the successful glutton. At it's first attempt it missed but came straight back and achieved it's goal and I scored this delightful pictorial.

Makes me smile. I can see the look of surprise in the gulls eye that not only did it get the morsel but was photographed too. May have to enter this one in the photo comp next year!!
