A wander around Borris

Day 1 in Carlow. A wander around Borris, post supper, and some nice old shop fronts to to be had, and hand painted lettering. Our friends were attending the Festival of Ideas and Literature in the big house, which we crashed to have a quick look. 

And the big excitement coming up - Ireland's largest holy well! A truly beautiful spot, used by a man doing Tai Chi (actually a champion tai chi-ist we later discovered), a man having a paddle, a woman gazing in the water and the keeper of the well himself who rushed off to get me a posh glass so I could taste the water - which was excellent.
