Surprise View

We decided to have a night away in the north Lakes and took advantage of a special all inclusive offer at a hotel in Borrowdale.  Lovely drive up through the lakes and we stopped at Surprise View above Derwentwater for a picnic.

From here we went to the  Bowder Stone and had a look at the old quarry nearby (see extra).

Checked into the hotel and had a leisurely few hours before dinner.
