All in a row
We had a 6 hour drive this morning from Salina, Kansas to Denver, Colorado with our destination being the Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Preserve which is located between Denver International Airport and Commerce City, a suburb of Denver. The main photo is Lake Ladora which is man made but supplies habitat for many creatures. No alligators here!! We arrived about 1pm..and it was already 90F! Denver is having a heat wave! But we did some walking, saw some birds and flowers that I liked. I haven't looked up the flowers yet so I don't know what they are.
We are now at Estes Park for the evening. Will be investigating Rocky Mountain National Park for most of the day tomorrow. I hope to catch up with Pipersmom and her hubby at their campground at Granby before we move on to the next stop.
