Mothers As Mentors

This unique relationship between mother and daughter helps me to see motherly mentoring in action. They're both musicians, one seasoned, and one growing by leaps and bounds. They share a mutual respect as musicians, and mom is constantly leading, guiding, encouraging, loving and believing in her young protege. Mom is patient, consistent and forever optimistic. I learn so much watching her.

The fruit of this relationship is delightful. It is an honor and a privilege to walk along side them, as they work out the details of what it is to be in a mothering/mentoring relationship, and to make beautiful music together.
