Tiny Treasures

Dear Diary,

I am hoping that today, finally, Andrew will be here to mow my seriously overgrown grass.  He was put behind in his schedule by all the rain last week.  One positive thing of letting the grass grow are these little wildflowers, orange Hawkweed and False Dandelion, that have sprung up here and there and have sprinkled a bit of color in all the green. I picked a few to bring in and had a bit of fun with them.

The thing about these wildflowers is that as the sun goes down they close up, even after they are cut.  This morning, when I put them in a sunbeam, they are opening up again.  Now, I find that rather amazing, that even after being cut they continue doing what they do.  There must be a lesson in that.
