A sting in the tail

I piled up the wheelbarrow with lots of tools this morning with the intention of heading into the community orchard to tidy up around the fruit trees, but I had no sooner done just that than it started to rain.

I did manage a short walk just before lunch but only saw one very tatty and lethargic common blue butterfly.

Back home I saw this bee hanging onto the side of the insect house and on closer inspection saw it was just hanging on with its two front legs.  I think you could say it's on its last legs.
