Waterlily collage.
It is very changeable weather today, in a more subtle than dramatic way.
It was cloudy when I came down for breakfast, having stayed up until 3am reading for the first time, Paula Hawkin's thriller The Girl on the train.
I love trains as my Dad and my Grandad were both train drivers and I think it is probably a love passed on in the genes.
Maria my daughter has read the book and watched the film.
Next I shall read a new book I first heard about on BBC Radio 4, Stopping places
by Damian le Bas, A journey through Gypsy Britain. I am fascinated by the history and culture of travellers.
I took a stroll beside the canal and was delighted to discover many pink waterlilies, open together in the sunshine, at that point.
It has since clouded over, but it very close and 23c.
This weather is difficult for Arthur with his thick glossy fur coat, but he sleeps most of the day time and likes the cold windowsill from where he can watch the other cats and dogs pass by.
Have a lovely day and thanks for visiting my journal.
Some words from Holy Shift by Robert Holden.
"Our Father bless our eyes today.
We are your messengers, and
we would look upon the glorious
reflection of Your Love which
shines in everything.
We live and move in You alone.
We are not separate from Your
Eternal life."
