Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2018 Monday — on my 4th Vacation Day

This is Day Four of my summer vacation — a long, lovely break from being in the classroom.

We are on California’s Central Coast and Mondays are Farmers Market in the little area of Baywood Park, which is in the rural city of Los Osos, which is south of the beach/bay city of Morro Bay.

The south end of Estero Bay is the part that gets the most fog, and today the air was cold and filled with moisture, but the Farmers Market was still a delightful place to be.

We dropped off our soup jars before the market opened and then took the 3 pooches for a stroll along the back bay. We also stopped at the Back Bay Cafe to share a veggie panini. It was delicious.

Later back at our house, we enjoyed soup for dinner and a little later we took the pups for a walk. Then the sun does not set over the hills north of Cayucos until after 8:00 and the sky is not completely dark till almost 9:00.

Tomorrow we go back to SoCal to finish the sale/escrow of our big house but before that there is a 3-day moving sale (this Thursday, Friday, Saturday) hosted by a professional who did the estate sale at Grammie Fun’s house. So hopefully we’ll be headed north in a week.
