Around the World in a Day

Friends are like buses. You don’t see one for ages and then they turn up in swift succession!

I only blipped SuMay about 3 weeks ago down in London www.blipfoto.com/entry/2445308634251395107 and now here she is again, in Liverpool for a work meeting this morning.

I met her for a slap-up lunch at Mowgli and it was as lovely to see her as ever, although the time passed too quickly.

We first met as students, in Liverpool, back in the mists of the last century. I was doing English, she was doing Chemistry. And many was the hour I spent round at her student gaff listening to her collection of Prince albums. ‘Sign o’ The Times’, ‘Parade’ and ‘Around the World in a Day’ were all on heavy rotation, so it was apt that while we were together today we heard ‘Raspberry Beret’ playing, randomly, and both immediately pointed it out to each other! https://youtube.com/watch?v=l7vRSu_wsNc
