The bottle calf ....

Another one of those days..
Alan Knox in first thing with the annual lorry load of sawdust for the shearing sheds , then the tree lads in to lift the trees they felled for the estate last week.
A day spent dismantling enough of the lambing shed so we have room to shut sheep in for shearing if the weather turns dodgy .
Arthur from Hamilton Tractors in tonight to fit a new starter to the McCormick 130 tractor, but when I came back home it was still in bits and he was away home- presume the new starter didn't fit !
This is the orphan calf whose mother died in April. She gets fed from another cow in the morning and a top up from the Speedy Feeder bottle at night, so the best of both worlds ,like having your cake and eating it !
