Glowing
This massive rhododendron bush sits at the entrance to Benmore Gardens, and most of the time I pass it without a second glance. However, as I was leaving the gardens today the light was perfect to give the impression of a great fire glowing among the trees: its time had come.
An escape from the builders today: there was a great deal of pretty violent-seeming battering going on as they discovered that the Everest window to our bathroom had been padded into place with some old cement bags. There was a great deal of rubble as the apprentice gave it laldy with the hammer; some of it appears to have landed in the bath.
Could be a gritty end to the day if I don't get rid of it soon ...
