Barred Owl

I went to Salmon Creek Trail for my morning walk.  The vegetation has gotten very thick so I wasn't really expecting to get much today.  I saw a few heron, egret and a few bald eagles were flying around, there were also  lots of Cedar Waxwings and other small birds.  I passed a man who told me where he had just seen a barred owl, I really had to look but I found it!  It was really hidden back in to forest, very dark in there with half of the owl in a spot of bright sunlight.  Certainly not the best conditions, but I am so excited to have seen it.
