High Force
Have been visiting Cal at Durham Uni to check up on him. Not that he need's checking up on as he has settled in quite nicely. We took ourselves up High Teesdale, an area I don't know at all. It is a wild and remote place made to feel even wilder by the cold and snow capped High Pennines, just how I like my winter walking. After an unpromising drizzly start out came the, now, winter sun and we did a 10 mile circuit of the Upper Tees including the spectacular High Force, England's highest waterfall. A bit tricky to photograph due to the low and bright afternoon winter sun to the left of the shot and the waterfall in shadow. Next time I'll do the walk the other way round and get a shot in the morning sun.
