Fairy Glen

The boss and R got up early and walked to Cromety Point before breakfast this morning. That justified coffee (again) at the beach café, where what looked like the local pre-school group were enjoying their summer outing. It was the coldest day so far, and as we watched the enthusiastic swim suit clad little people jump in and out of the waves, we were amused that all the mums watching were in coats, jeans and even in a couple of cases hats! They breed them tough up here.
Then we walked to Fairy Glen, through an RSPCA reserve to see this waterfall – I hadn’t taken a tripod, so was relieved when having balanced the camera up on the bag I netted this shot. The other shot was the smaller waterfall a little lower.
Rained a bit on the way back, the first day time rain we’ve had this holiday. (and in about the preceding 4 weeks).
