The countdown
Up at Carnoustie today to see the preparations for The Open. There are gale force winds forecast tonight so I hope everything is safely secured. The green keepers are hoping for some rain too as it’s bone dry. I’m betting the rain stays off until the actual tournament starts.
Usual morning rush hour frustration getting around the bypass and, of course, my return coincided with the evening rush hour.
In between was a meeting full of contradictions and frustration, a puncture which necessitated an unscheduled stop at a garage in Ladybank and then a briefing session for a very rare whisky.
Home to see Mrs S for ten minutes before she headed out for a curry with her pal.
