Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Something a little different today. This is what a bear's eye looks like on the inside :). This beautiful eye belongs to Bubu. We have a lot of bears at our centre with eye problems, and after seeing so many unhealthy eyes lately it's really nice to see a healthy one.

This was taken using a camera app on my iphone that a visiting eye specialist told us about earlier in the year. Pretty nifty what an iphone can do! So now we routinely add eye photos to all our bears health records which will be great for future rechecks. Hmm... I think Apple should sponsor our Bear Centre!
